The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, commonly referred to as R.C.I.A. is the process of inquiry through which adults gain a deeper understanding of the beliefs and practices of the Catholic Church. For those who wish to enter into full communion with the Church, the nine-month-long process leads to reception of the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil Mass.
